CONSULCON18 is two days of collaborative work and technical conferences around CONSUL, the largest participation platform in the world based on Ruby on Rails. Free software for participation in politics.
CONSUL is a tool that allows a city to develop with little time and safely processes of citizen participation on the Internet. CONSUL is free software, so it does not requires the payment of licenses. CONSUL can be modified by each organization to adapt the software to their needs, which facilitates the exchange of knowledge and experiences.
As a tool, CONSUL is allowing cities to develop processes that put into the hands of citizens decisions around urban space, the budget of the city or priorities in municipal management.
Timo Väliharju (Executive Director, COSS) will be joining a panel discussion on Thursday 22th at 16:00 – 17:00 with Simon Phipps (Open Source Initiative), Helen Darbishire (Access Info Europe), Shamid Ahmad (Digital Empowerment Foundation India).
